Dacia Striker debuts in Milan in the compact segment: Estate, sedan and SUV in the same vehicle

Dacia launched the Striker model in Milan. A revolutionary crossover for the family, at a price below 25,000 euros

Dacia officially expands its offensive in the C segment by presenting its new model, Striker. Presented in early July in Milan, during a major international event, the new family vehicle promises to become a highly competitive alternative to traditional compact SUVs. With a starting price positioned below the 25,000 euro threshold, Dacia Striker aims to change the rules of the game, combining the versatility of a station wagon, the elegance of a sedan and the robustness of an SUV.

A hybrid design concept and elegant proportions

The new model offers a fluid and aerodynamic silhouette, with an excellent aerodynamic coefficient of 0.29. With a length of 4.62 meters (similar to a C-segment station wagon) and a height of only 1.53 meters, Striker is considerably shorter than classic SUVs, while offering generous ground clearance: 19 cm for the 4x2 versions and 20 cm for the 4x4 variants.

On the outside, the design is structured around a prominent shoulder line that connects the headlights. The upper part of the body features flowing lines and a sloping windshield, while the lower part inspires strength, protected by elements made of Starkle®—Dacia’s patented raw, unpainted material. Striker is also the brand’s first vehicle to introduce the new “T”-shaped LED light signature, harmoniously integrated into a glossy black central grille bearing the Dacia Link logo.

Modern interior: LightVisio technology and YouClip system

The cabin follows a three-level architecture. The first level uses warm textiles and Starkle® inserts on the door panels. The second level groups the intuitive physical controls, while the upper level houses the 10.1-inch central touchscreen, equipped (depending on version) with the Media Display or Media Nav Live systems (with Arkamys 3D audio system with 6 speakers).

An absolute technological first for the brand is the 7-inch LightVisio digital instrument cluster. It uses optical reflection technology that projects on-board information in the form of a floating 3D image, offering excellent readability and a sense of depth. Passenger comfort is supported by well-profiled seats, optimized acoustic insulation through the windshield and thicker side windows, as well as a panoramic glass roof with thermal protection (available on Extreme equipment).

Also inside, the ingenious YouClip anchoring system (up to 9 attachment points) allows the attachment of dedicated accessories: a glass holder made of recycled materials, a multifunctional blanket for children or a practical storage net.

Premiere for Dacia: Autohold and hands-free smart trunk

Dacia Striker introduces a series of practical features designed to simplify family life:

  • Autohold system: Available for the first time on a Dacia model (standard from the Expression equipment), it keeps the vehicle in place in busy urban traffic or on a ramp, without the driver having to continuously press the brake pedal.
  • Hands-free trunk opening (Easy Trunk Opening): The electrically operated tailgate opens automatically when the user positions himself behind the car for a few seconds, with the card key on him. The total volume of the trunk reaches an impressive record of 600 liters.
  • 3-part reversible floor: Another first for the brand, this modular floor allows for the segmentation and securing of luggage on two different levels. All three sections are reversible, featuring carpet on one side and a durable, washable plastic on the other.
  • Easy Fold: The system allows the rear seat to be quickly folded (60/40) by simply operating two levers positioned directly in the trunk.

Only electrified engines and a unique 4x4 variant

Dacia Striker completely abandons exclusively thermal engines, being available only in latest generation hybrid variants:

  1. Hybrid 155: Combines a 1.8-liter gasoline engine (109 hp) with two electric motors (49 hp and a high-voltage starter/generator) and a 1.4 kWh battery. Thanks to the clutchless electric automatic transmission, the Striker always starts in electric mode and can run up to 80% of the time emission-free in urban environments, lowering its CO2 footprint below 100 g/km.
  2. Hybrid 150 4x4: This unique all-wheel drive variant uses a 1.2-liter mild-hybrid 48V engine (140 HP) on the front axle, coupled to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddles on the steering wheel. The rear axle is independently powered by a 23 kW (31 HP) electric motor and a two-speed transmission. The system provides high torque at low speeds for rough terrain, but disengages the rear axle at cruising speeds (up to 140 km/h) to save fuel. The driver can manually select between 5 driving modes (Auto, Eco, Snow, Mud/Sand, Off-Road), also benefiting from the Hill Descent Control system.

Modern safety: GSR2 and the "My Safety" button

To comply with the latest European standards, all Dacia Striker trim levels include the GSR2 safety package. It integrates automatic emergency braking (with vehicle, pedestrian, cyclist and motorcyclist detection), traffic sign recognition with speed alert, rear parking assistance, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance and driver attention monitoring. An advanced ADAS package with blind spot warning, automatic reverse braking and a panoramic camera (Multi-view) is available as an option.

To enhance digital comfort, engineers have implemented the “My Safety” button. This allows the driver to instantly return to their personalized preferences regarding assistance systems with a single press when starting the car, thus avoiding the repetitive configuration of alerts via the center display menus.

Recycled materials: Absolute record for the Dacia brand

Striker marks the highest level of sustainability achieved by the Mioveni manufacturer. Over 32% of the materials used come from the circular economy. The vehicle integrates 47 kg of recycled plastics, an absolute record for Dacia and a value more than twice the European market average.

In addition to the use of Starkle® material on the exterior, interior elements (such as door panels and parts of the dashboard) contain up to 80% recycled polypropylene. In addition, the Extreme version's floor mats use 50% recycled rubber, and Dacia has completely eliminated the use of chrome and animal leather on all its versions.

A simple and structured range

The Dacia Striker will be sold in four well-defined equipment levels: Essential (the basic version with 17-inch wheels and a 10.1-inch screen), Expression (which adds automatic bison air conditioning and an electric handbrake with Autohold), followed by the two top-of-the-range models with equivalent prices: Extreme (oriented towards outdoor activities, with washable Microcloud upholstery, optional 4x4 traction and panoramic roof) and Journey (focused on long-distance comfort, with an electric tailgate, an electrically adjustable driver's seat and a wireless smartphone charger).
