Volkswagen launches the basic version of the ID.Polo in Romania with prices starting at 25.300 euros

The new Volkswagen ID.Polo receives a basic version in Romania, with prices starting at 25,300 euros

Volkswagen is taking a decisive step towards the democratization of electric vehicles and introducing a new basic equipment for the ID.Polo model. Aimed at customers who want an affordable zero-emission vehicle, but adapted to modern requirements, the new version comes with a compact battery and an extremely competitive starting price for the Romanian market.

Interest in the new electric subcompact is already high. The Wolfsburg-based manufacturer recently opened pre-order lists across Europe, and 25,000 customers have already signed up for the waiting list, confirming the model's anticipated commercial success.

Urban autonomy and fast charging in 23 minutes

The new entry-level model is equipped with a smaller 37 kWh battery, capable of providing a range of up to 315 kilometers on a single charge, an ideal value for daily commuting and urban travel. The time spent at the station is not an inconvenience either: connected to a 90 kW fast charger, the ID.Polo can recharge its battery from 10% to 80% in just 23 minutes.

The engine range includes two power configurations: a 115 horsepower variant and a more dynamic 135 horsepower one.

Top technology as standard

Although positioned as an affordable version, Volkswagen has not skimped on the features. On the German market, the model is configurable in three trim levels: Trend, Life and Style.

The entry-level Trend trim level offers an extremely generous technology and comfort package for this segment. As standard, customers receive LED headlights, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a 13-inch central screen for the multimedia system, an eco-leather steering wheel and automatic climate control.

Prices and availability on the Romanian market

Volkswagen has officially opened the reservation lists for the Romanian public. For now, customers on the local market can opt exclusively for the 115 HP engine configuration, with the more powerful 135 HP version to be introduced later.

Starting prices on the Romanian market are set at 25,300 euros for the Trend equipment level and 28,700 euros for the higher variant, Life. Through this pricing strategy, ID.Polo becomes one of the most competitive electric options in the B segment, ready to attract a wide audience to clean mobility.
