Fiat launches the new 500 Hybrid on the Romanian market: 1.0-liter engine and starting price under 22,000 euros
Fiat is refreshing its urban legend on the local market. The Italian manufacturer has officially launched the new Fiat 500 Hybrid in Romania, a model that promises to continue the recipe for urban success through increased efficiency and technology adapted to current requirements.
Presented last summer, the model produced at the famous Mirafiori plant in Turin has now debuted at an official event in our country, and the starting prices have already been revealed.
Efficiency for the city: 65 hp mild-hybrid engine
Under the hood of the new Fiat 500 Hybrid is a unit optimized for urban agility and reduced fuel consumption:
- Engine: 1.0 liter, gasoline, 3-cylinder.
- Technology: Mild-hybrid system (MHEV) that assists the internal combustion engine in demanding moments.
- Power: 65 horsepower.
- Transmission: 6-speed manual gearbox (the only available option).
This configuration is specifically designed to reduce CO2 emissions and provide fluidity in busy traffic in big cities.
Three bodies and a well-equipped starting lineup
The new Italian model is extremely versatile when it comes to design, being available in three body styles: Hatchback, the practical 3+1 version (with an additional door on the passenger side for easier access) and the convertible Cabrio version.
Although the full range includes the Pop, Icon and La Prima trim levels (along with the special launch series "Torino"), customers in Romania currently have only one option available at the start of sales.
Currently, the model can be ordered exclusively in the Icon trim level, with the remaining versions to become available later.
Prices and standard features for Romania
The starting price for the new Fiat 500 Hybrid in Icon trim is 21,900 euros, VAT included.
For this amount, customers receive a generous standard equipment package focused on technology and comfort:
- Technology and Multimedia: 10.25-inch central touchscreen with modern infotainment system, compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster.
- Comfort: Automatic air conditioning and rear parking sensors.
- Design and Visibility: Halogen headlights, daytime running lights (DRL) with LED technology and rims with specific design.
The new Fiat 500 Hybrid aims to remain a reference in the city car segment, relying on its unmistakable personality, now with a reduced carbon footprint and state-of-the-art technology. The model can already be configured and ordered in the official dealership network in Romania.
