Skoda Elroq Attacks the European Market and Reaches the 100.000 Unit Milestone
Czech manufacturer Skoda recently confirmed a remarkable success in the electric vehicle segment, announcing that its compact SUV, the Elroq, has reached the impressive milestone of 100,000 units produced at its main plant in Mladá Boleslav. Reaching this milestone in record time – just around 11 months after the start of series production in early 2025 – underlines the explosive popularity of the model and the rapid pace of the brand’s electric transition.
The 100,000th anniversary model is a performance version, the Elroq RS, painted in the vibrant Mamba Green color, a symbol of the brand's sportiness and modern design.
A Pioneer with "Modern Solid" Design
The ŠKODA Elroq is a key model in the manufacturer's electric offensive and the first production vehicle to adopt the new "Modern Solid" design language. This design is distinguished by robust lines and sculpted surfaces, and in the interior, by the use of sustainable and environmentally friendly materials.
Built on the Volkswagen Group's modular electric platform (MEB), the Elroq demonstrates the flexibility of the Mladá Boleslav plant, where it is assembled on the same production line alongside the electric Enyaq and the internal combustion Octavia models.
A Wide Range of Versions for All Needs
Elroq's success is also due to its varied range of motors and batteries, which meets a wide range of requirements:
- Elroq 50: It represents the most affordable version, being equipped with a 170 horsepower electric motor and offering a range of 376 kilometers in the WLTP cycle.
- Elroq 60: Raises the bar, bringing a 204 horsepower engine and extended range, reaching 429 kilometers.
- Elroq 85 and Sportline: These versions receive a powerful engine, which develops 286 horsepower. The Elroq 85 version promises an impressive range of 571 kilometers, while the Sportline variant offers 564 kilometers.
- Elroq RS: The top model and the fastest in the brand's history reaches 340 horsepower and offers a range of over 550 kilometers. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in just 5.4 seconds.
All versions equipped with the larger battery (77 kWh) benefit from DC fast charging capabilities of up to 175 kW, allowing a recharge from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes.
European Recognition and "Simply Clever" Features
Elroq's excellent performance in the market is confirmed by its sales results, with the model ranking second among the best-selling battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in Europe in the first three quarters of 2025. It has also won major awards, including the Red Dot Design Award and the title of "Car of the Year in Germany 2026".
The Elroq incorporates Skoda's "Simply Clever" smart solutions designed to improve functionality, including a generous 470-liter trunk volume and practical details such as the ice scraper hidden in the tailgate and the umbrella in the driver's door.
On the Romanian market, the new Skoda Elroq is available with a starting price of 35,638 euros, becoming an extremely competitive option in the electric SUV segment.
Reaching the 100,000 unit milestone in less than a year confirms that the Skoda Elroq is not just a simple electric model, but a market leader that redefines public expectations from a compact electric SUV: performance, excellent autonomy and practicality specific to the Czech brand.
